Delivery & install day

Coordinated delivery.
One team, end to end.

When the install is ready, we schedule the delivery window, bring pieces from our 32,000 sq ft facility with careful handling, and coordinate the day with a single point of contact. Because we received and stored your inventory, nothing gets handed off to a vendor who has never seen the project.

What it covers

The last mile, handled like the rest of your project.

Delivery day is where a project can become harder to manage — the wrong window, a damaged piece, a vendor who does not know the site. Because we received and stored your inventory, delivery is the final step of one coordinated process, not a handoff to an unknown party.

If freight damage is found before delivery, available in-house repair can be reviewed and scoped so a scuffed piece does not have to derail your schedule.

How it works

One coordinated path from our facility to your client's install.

We received and logged the pieces before delivery, with inspection based on the selected receiving service. Delivery is not a separate handoff — it is the next step of the same coordinated process.

  1. Schedule the delivery window

We set a delivery and install window with your PM — a confirmed time, not an all-day wait. Because all items are already logged in your Decorator Dashboard account, confirming what is going and what stays is straightforward.

  2. Repair in-house, if needed

If freight damage is identified during receiving, our repair artisans can review and scope the work before the delivery date. Addressing repairable damage early helps keep it from surfacing as a last-minute problem on install day.

  3. Deliver with account records

Pieces leave our 32,000 sq ft facility on your scheduled date with careful handling and account records in place. Optional condition photos can be included when selected. Fla. IM No. 678 covers moving services.

  4. Coordinate install day

One point of contact — who has known the project since receiving — coordinates delivery and in-home placement. When questions come up on site, there is someone who already knows the answers.

The Decorator Dashboard

Delivery status, visible online — no status calls needed.

Every item received into your account is logged with tracking and damage photos when visible freight damage is found. Optional general condition photos can be added when selected. On install day, you and your PM can see delivery status in the Decorator Dashboard instead of waiting on a return call during a busy schedule.

  • Scheduled delivery window confirmed and visible in your account.
  • Optional condition photos when selected.
  • Repair status logged when in-house repair is scoped.
  • Documents and invoices in one account view.

Specialty guide

Start with the job you need done.

FDWD can start the conversation for moving, receiving, storage, delivery, installation, freight, warehousing, and custom logistics. We have especially deep experience with designer, builder, and commercial FF&E projects. The service sites for Florida's Moving & Storage, Affordable Moving & Storage, and Florida's 3PL provide more detail on common residential and warehouse specialties, but you can stay here and ask FDWD about any logistics job.
