Receiving & Inspection

What is designer receiving?

Designer receiving is when a warehouse accepts, inspects, and stores FF&E and project materials on a designer's or builder's behalf until install day. At Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery, items arrive at our Bonita Springs facility, are logged to your account, stored, and released for a coordinated white-glove delivery. Damage photos are included when visible freight damage is found, and optional general condition photos can be added when selected.

How does Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery document what arrives?

Each shipment is received as it arrives, inspected, logged with notes, and matched to the available purchase-order or order documents after check-in. Designers and builders can see every item online in the Decorator Dashboard, including tracking, documents, storage invoices, and damage photos when visible freight damage is found. Optional general condition photos can be added when selected, so the receiving record is visible in one place rather than scattered across emails.

What happens if an item arrives damaged?

Damage and discrepancies are noted at receiving and tied to the item record. Photos of visible freight damage are included, and optional general condition photos can be added when photo documentation is selected. Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery has in-house repair artisans who can review and address many freight-damage issues after the repair scope is approved.

Storage Options

Do you store furniture, and is the storage climate-controlled?

Yes. Furniture, fixtures, and project materials are held in our 32,000 sq ft Bonita Springs facility, minutes from I-75 and US-41, between receiving and install. Climate-controlled storage is available when selected; ambient storage is also available depending on the item and project need. Storage keeps received goods protected and organized until your project's install schedule is ready, with storage invoices visible in the Decorator Dashboard.

How long can items stay in storage before install?

Items can be held in the appropriate warehouse area until your project's install schedule is ready, whether that is weeks or months. Climate-controlled storage is available when selected; ambient storage is also available depending on the item and project need. Storage is billed as goods are held, with storage invoices visible in the Decorator Dashboard.

White-Glove Delivery & Install

What is white-glove delivery and install coordination?

White-glove delivery means received items are scheduled, delivered, unpacked, and placed for install day, with a single point of contact coordinating timing. Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery plans the delivery around your install schedule and building access, so pieces arrive in the right order, on the right day, ready to place.

The Decorator Dashboard

What is the Decorator Dashboard?

The Decorator Dashboard is the client portal for your project. It shows each received item with available PO/order documents and carrier tracking, storage invoices, damage photos when visible freight damage is found, optional general condition photos when selected, and a view of new items since your last login. Multiple team members can be added, so accounts payable sees invoices while a project manager sees delivery notices.

Can my clients and team see the inventory too?

Yes. The Decorator Dashboard gives clients visibility into their own received inventory, damage photos when visible freight damage is found, and optional general condition photos when selected, and supports multiple Billing Users on a trade account. You can delegate access so accounts payable sees invoices while a project manager sees delivery notices, without exposing your firm's pricing to the client.

Trade Accounts & Builder Services

How do I set up a trade account?

Setting up a trade account takes five fields: your name, firm, phone, email, and primary service need. There is no file upload, portfolio, or credential check at signup; account details are verified after we connect. A team member follows up within one business day to set up receiving for your first project.

Do you work with builders and general contractors, not just designers?

Yes. Custom-home builders and general contractors use Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery for FF&E receiving, container offload, storage options, and coordinated install on luxury projects. The same receiving, included damage photos when visible freight damage is found, optional general condition photos when selected, storage, and white-glove delivery that serves interior designers supports builder projects across Florida, with a focus on Southwest Florida.

Can you offload a shipping container of FF&E for a build?

Yes. For builders and GCs we offload container freight, inspect and log items as they come off, stage the FF&E in the appropriate warehouse area, and coordinate a single delivery window for the install. Each item is logged to your account in the Decorator Dashboard with available PO/order documents, carrier tracking, damage photos when visible freight damage is found, and optional general condition photos when selected.

COI & Service Area

Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance?

Certificates of Insurance are available on request. Send the certificate requirements and your coordinator will confirm the COI details for the project. Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery operates under Fla. IM No. 678.

What areas does Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery serve?

Florida's Decorators Warehousing & Delivery handles projects in Florida, with a focus on Southwest Florida routes from Bonita Springs including Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Marco Island, and nearby jobs after scheduling. The interior design firm can be based anywhere; the project itself needs to be in Florida. Receiving, storage options, and white-glove delivery are coordinated from the 32,000 sq ft facility.
